SCBWI Ireland Meet-up in Cork – August 11, 2012

Our first meet-up was well received, so we’re organizing the next one for Saturday, August 11th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Venue is the Bishopstown Library in the upstairs meeting room.

This is our second meet-up in Cork and is for anyone interested in writing and illustrating children’s books and who is located in or near the south of Ireland, or who feels like coming down for a visit!

This meet-up is totally informal and is open to SCBWI members as well as non-members. We will spend part of the session discussing editing, recommending different ways to do it, and sharing our personal tips and tricks.

Bring along a book that captured your attention and tell us in what way.

The Bishopstown Library is very handily located and accessible by bus or you can drive there and park in the shopping centre for a couple of hours. For more details on on the library, here is their web page: http://www.corkcitylibraries.ie/bishopstown/

Drinks cannot be brought into the library due to risk of spillage. However, coffee and tea will be provided in the meeting room by the library. How nice is that?! We will also bring yummy treats of some kind.

Please RSVP to Colleen by email so we know how much hot water we need for the beverages: scbwiireland@gmail.com
