The Waterford Writers Weekend kicks off in a couple of weeks! It runs from Thursday, March 20th to Sunday, March 23rd. There’s a range of writing-related events for both adults and kids. Here are four you won’t want to miss!!

Teen Writes: Workshop for 13-16 year olds with Claire Hennessy
Saturday 22nd March | 11:00am – 1:00pm | Central Library (Reference Room) | Free | Register online.
This practical workshop will get teenagers brainstorming and writing, with an opportunity at the end for any questions they might have about writing or publishing. Facilitated by Claire Hennessy, author of several YA novels and experienced creative writing teacher, who also recently edited an anthology of work by teenage writers.
Creative Writing Workshop for 9 -11 year olds with Alan Early

Bookbinding workshop (adults)

In this introduction to bookbinding workshop, participants will be shown the basic techniques and materials for creating simple but functional journals. Each participant will leave with a selection of notebooks.
